Brain stimulation over ventral cortex enhances stereo-depth perception

Justin has graduated but his TBS work is now out!
The ability for cTBS over primary visual cortex to bring about improvements in perception is well demonstrated. Improvements extend to binocular capacities (stereo). But, a long line of work (including work from our team) has shown that stereo of course relies on more specialized nodes in both dorsal and ventral cortex in a task and context-dependent manner. Anyway, here, we wanted to see what happens when we deliver TBS to one of these key stereo-nodes, the LOC. We introduced two tasks -- a stereo task and a luminance discrimination task and delivered TBS to either V1 or LOC. This way, we were able to check out whether effects, if any, were cue-specific.
